Meet McKenzie Holderman, your new favorite full-service Real Estate Agent and our group’s namesake! McKenzie brings well over 9 years of experience to the group and owns both residential and rental properties. As an agent, she’s proudly supported over 200 clients in the purchasing and selling of their homes and investment properties. Not to mention, McKenzie is experienced in working with builders. Since her start in real estate, McKenzie has been hard at work learning and earning designations to help those she works with even more, such as becoming an Accredited Buyer’s Representative, a Certified Negotiation Expert, a Residential Real Estate Divorce Specialist, and earning the GREEN designation.
A Passion for Real Estate
McKenzie grew up in Central Pennsylvania and graduated from State College Area High School in 2011. She always stayed active in the athletic program at State High and was the Captain of the State High Varsity Cheerleading Squad her senior year. McKenzie continues to volunteer her time as Assistant Coach for the State High Varsity Cheerleading Program and the Bellefonte Red Raiders within the Nittany Youth Football and Cheer League. McKenzie most recently graduated from Pennsylvania State University and spent many years at Penn State interning with Penn State Athletics in Strategic Communications & Marketing. She even served as the official Time-Out Coordinator for the highly-ranked Penn State Wrestling team. Yes! She is a huge Big Ten Wrestling fan. Her deep roots in Central PA means she knows the area very well making her an excellent choice when you are buying or selling in State College.

She’s a proud alumna of Penn State, a graduate of the Smeal College of Business, and completed her M.A. at The Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Upon graduation, Shelley worked in the Baltimore/D.C. area as a new home builder sales agent and in new-home advertising. She loves connecting her experience to each and every person she works with.

After a few years, Shelley’s love and admiration for Happy Valley and all it represents brought her back to Central PA. It’s here that she met her husband, Steve, and where they now raise their two boys, Tye & Mason, because of all this community has to offer.

Kara is both a State High & Penn State Alum, with degrees in Psychology & Anthropology. She began her real estate career in San Francisco at a boutique brokerage specializing in multi-family acquisitions and luxury leasing. Kara is licensed in Pennsylvania and California and has connections to realtors around the globe (aiding her clients whether they’re moving across the street or across the ocean).

Meet Erin, the newest member of the McKenzie Holderman Group! Erin joins our team as the Transaction Coordinator, an essential behind the scenes role in helping our buyers, sellers, agents, and vendors stay on track throughout the home buying and selling process.
A PASSION FOR Real Estate
Born and raised in State College, Erin graduated from State College Area High School and is proud to call Happy Valley home. Real estate has always been part of her life. Growing up, she was surrounded by conversations about the industry thanks to her grandma, Karen Zwigart, who has had a long career in real estate, and her uncle, Paul Sudano, Vice President of Monument Sotheby’s International Realty in Maryland. Her local roots and familiarity with the community give her a unique appreciation for everything Central Pennsylvania has to offer.
Outside of work, Erin enjoys spending time with her family, creating content for her YouTube channel, and making memories at Walt Disney World—one of her favorite places to visit. At home, she and her family have two Bernese Mountain Dogs who are a big part of her life. Erin is excited to continue learning from the McKenzie Holderman Team while helping create a positive experience for every client.
